Organised by the India Semiconductor Mission under MeitY in partnership with SEMI. Confirmed scale: 18,000 sqm of exhibition space, a dedicated 360 sqm workforce development area, and six country pavilions — Japan, Korea, Netherlands, Singapore, Malaysia and Sweden. ISM lists participation from over 300 Indian and over 100 international companies; SEMI puts the total at 500-plus exhibitors from 20-plus countries. The event is co-located with electronica and productronica India.

For comparison, Semicon India 2025 drew more than 35,000 registrations, over 21,000 visitors, and 350 exhibitors from 18 countries across 1,275 booths.

The theme has circulated in several forms. The wording “Building Trusted and Resilient Semiconductor Ecosystems” appears as page description text on ism.gov.in and has been widely repeated as the theme; the theme stated on both ism.gov.in and semiconindia.org is “Silicon to Systems: Building the Ecosystem”.

What this means

The theme wording matters more than a slogan usually does. “Silicon to Systems” is the same framing as Semicon 2.0’s machines-and-materials pillar — the argument that India’s next phase is full value-chain participation rather than chip assembly. Read alongside the 360 sqm workforce development zone and the expected release of Semicon 2.0 implementation guidelines around the event, it makes September 17–19 the practical deadline for institutions preparing training centre proposals. ISM, SEMI, the plant operators and the state agencies are in one building for three days.
