MeitY Launches ISM Investors Support Portal — Single Window for Semiconductor Ecosystem Players
India Semiconductor Mission launched a dedicated Investors Support Portal on May 26 — a single-window platform for ecosystem players including training institutions, suppliers, and investors seeking formal engagement with ISM-approved projects.
The portal is designed for the broader semiconductor ecosystem beyond primary facility investors: component suppliers, materials companies, EDA vendors, testing service providers, and training institutions seeking to build formal relationships with ISM-approved facilities. It addresses a gap since ISM launched in 2021 — approved facilities had clear government touchpoints, but the surrounding ecosystem had no formal channel into ISM or into facility procurement and HR functions.
All 12 approved facility operators are visible through the portal. Ecosystem participants can register intent, signal capability, and seek support through a structured pathway visible simultaneously to ISM administration and to every facility operator. Portal is live at ism.gov.in.
Training institutions have had no formal government-recognised channel to signal intent to ISM or to approved facilities. The portal changes this. An engineering college or ITI seeking to position itself as a training partner to Micron, Kaynes, or CG Semi now has an official pathway. An institution that registers in July 2026 — with a live programme or a credible plan — does so before the ISM 2.0 Cabinet approval triggers a rush of new applicants. The window for being an early, visible participant is narrow. Institutions that move in 2026 will be in a different queue than those that move in 2027.
